Lichen planus is a common inflammatory disorders that affects the skin, mucous membranes, nails and hair. Lichen planus tends to involve wrists, arms, and legs and distribute symmetrically and bilaterally.This is the typical disease which can show Koebner response along with vitilligo and psoriasis We report a case of 28-year old woman who presented brownish papules and plaques on abdomen. The lesions are on Cesarean section area performed 6 months ago. There is no itching or pain sensation on the lesions. Histopathologically, epidermis show hyperkeratosis, wedge-shaped areas of hypergranulosis and Civatte bodies are seen at the dermal-epidermal junction. A band-like lymphocytic infiltrate is seen in the papillary dermis. Clinically and histopathologically, we diagnosed as lichen planus. The author experienced interesting case in which patient who had not diagnosed with lichen planus before showed lichen planus after Caesarean section.
