‘道東刊本’ 『景賢錄』의 편찬과 내용 = The Contents and the Compilation of Kyeonghyeon-Rok, Dodong Edition

Kyeonghyeon-Rok has two major editions, Suncheon Edition and Dodong Edition. The initial Kyeonghyeon-Rok were published by Lee Jeong in 1563. It was revised in opinion of Lee Hwang. And those two were merged into Suncheon Edition in 1565. Since then Kyeonghyeon-Rok had been revised several times by Jeong Gu, Kim Haseok, et al. Kyeonghyeon-Rok revised by Kim Haseok and published in Dodong Seoweon was called Dodong Edition. This article would trace back the compiliation of Dodong Edition in succession to the preceding research(The contents and the compilation of Kyeonghyeon-Rok, Suncheon Edition)In advance of Kim Haseok’s revising, Jeong Gu had compiled Kyeonghyeon-Rok which was called Hangang Edition. Before Hangang Edition, Kyeonghyeon-Rok was the book about both Kim Goengpil and Jo Wi who was a teacher in Suncheon same as Kim Goengpil. However, Jeong Gu divided Kyeonghyeon-Rok into two part. The main part of Hangang Edition became a book only about Kim Goengpil. The writings about Jo Wi and some unimportant articles written by Kim Goengpil sent out to the supplement. Another feature of Hangang Edition is that the book gathered information about Kim Goengpil’s relationship as a scholar and a politics. Through his ralatives, Kim Goengpil became an important Confucian figure, especially as a member of Sarimpa.
In 17thcentury, Kim Haseok, an descendant of Kim Goengpil, published Dodong Edition. It was not only revised edition of Hangang Edition but also had plentiful supplement materials. The most notable feature of Dodong Edition was the contents about Kim Goengpil’s Enshrinement in the Munmyo. Because, By Enshrinement in the Munmyo, Kim Goengpil’s position in Confucian history was officially approved.
Besides the differences in contents, there were significant changes between Suncheon Edition and Dodong Edition. It was about the main agent of researching and publishing Kyeonghyeon-Rok. At first, Kyeonghyeon-Rok was published by Sarimpa. However, since dong dition, it was Kim Goengpil’s descendants who revised and published Kyeonghyeon-Rok.
