The purpose of this study was to identify the effect of response centered litera-ture activity on children's perspective taking, To demonstrate the effect of response centered literature activity, 65 children at the age 5 were subjected to this study, and they were to 2 groups and were each located to experiment group who were to go through 24 response centered literature activity and comparison group who were read 8 picture books. This study surveyed the children's per-spective taking, the pre-test, post-test to examine the effect of response cen-tered literature activity. The data collected from the pre-test and post-test.
ANCOVA procedure was conducted to analyze the effects of the experimental activities compared to the comparison group. The test results demonstrated that children in the experiment group made significant improvement on perspective taking. In conclusion, these activities were designed to correspond to children's experience, interest and demands by using of picture books, it is highly expected to be able to used in the field as useful social and emotional education.
