조선후기(朝鮮後期) ‘치산(治産)’의 문제(問題)와 <치산편(治産篇)>의 의미(意味) = The Matter of ‘Chishan’ and the Meaning of < Chishanga > in Late Joseon Dynasty

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본고는 朝鮮後期 ‘治産’에 대한 認識을 검토하고 그것을 통해 『草堂問答歌』 소재 <治産篇>의 의미를 탐색하는 데에 목적이 있다. 朝鮮朝談論을 主導했던 士大夫들에게 財貨의 創出을 기본으로 하는 治産의 행위는 대개 否定的으로 받아들여졌다. 그러나 18세기 이후 實學者들을 중심으로 治産에 積極的으로 참여해야 한다는 認識이 싹텄다. 이는 治産이 한 가족의 범위를 넘어 共同體를 指向함으로써 나타난 結果였다. 이러한 변화된 認識을 배경에서 産生된 <治産篇> 또한 共同體를 중심으로 한 삶의 價値를 내포하고 있다. <治産篇>은 監農者이자 共同體의 리더인 話者를 내세워 ‘治産’의 목적이 富의 蓄積이 아닌 共同體의 安定的 維持에 있음을 說破하는 作品이다. 그렇기에 내용의 대부분을 차지하는 治産의 方法 또한 農事와 儉約 등 매우 防禦的인 次元에서 提示될 수밖에 없었다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This paper is to review the understanding of ‘Chishan’ and search for the meaning of < Chishanga > which belong to 『Chodangmundapgha』. The action of ‘Chishan’(management of property) is based on creating property, and the noblity who lead the society of Joseon have a negative view of it. However, Silhak scholars brought an awareness of active participation in ‘Chishan’, and it was a result of the fact that ‘Chishan’ extended the range from a family to a community. Also, < Chishanpyon > contains the value of life around the community, because it was written after people changed their understanding of ‘Chishan’. This work teaches people that the purpose of ‘Chishan’ is not the accumulation of wealth but the stable maintenance of the community through the narrator who is the leader of the community. That is why it could only suggest the way of ‘Chishan’ in a very defensive level, such as, agriculture and saving.
