In this study the dynamic performance of tractor/semi-trailer with active/semi-active suspensions has been investigated. The purpose of this study is to investigate the feasibility of realizing semi-active suspensions for commercial vehicles. The control law applied to airbag suspensions modeled in this study is the feedback linearization & LQ optimal control. Simulation results show that significant reducton of sprung mass accelerations can be obtained by the use of semi-active suspensions for commercail vehicles.<br/>
