디지털 세계의 출현에 대한 창조신학적 성찰 = A Creation-Theological Reflection on the Emergence of the Digital World

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Today the digital culture is not just a ‘virtual reality,’ but a reality in its genuine sense. The digital culture is not a ‘fictional’ world which exists only in the human imagination or ideas, but a ‘real’ world that penetrates, structures, and changes the entire world of human life. In this paper, taking seriously this noteworthy phenomenon of the digital culture, I seek to reflect from a Christian theological perspective on how to view and deal with the problems derived from the emergence and spread of the digital world. First, I briefly introduce a sociological understanding of the digital culture, and then examine the theological significance of the digital culture from the perspective of a Christian theology of creation. Finally, I suggest a few proposals as regards the need and direction for fostering and enjoying digital literacy from a Christian theological perspective.
