한국의 육아지표 개발 연구 = Developing Indicators for Korea Early Childhood Education and Care

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 한국의 육아와 육아지원 정책에 대한 국가.사회적 가치와 목적을 설정하고, 그 가치와 목적에 비추어 현재 도달한 상태를 종합적.체계적으로 판단 해 볼 수 있는 육아지표를 개발하는 데 목적이 있다. 이에, 유아교육.보육 발전은 물론 부모의 양육과 아동의 복지 측면을 포함하는 육아지표를 선정하여 기초지표 6개, 유아교육·보육 분야 지표 58개, 자녀양육 및 영유아복지 분야 지표 46개 등 110개의 지표를 개발하여 선정하였다. 이번 개발된 지표는 정부(중앙/지방)입안자들과 유아교육.보육 전문가들이 현재 우리나라 육아 실태와 질적 수준을 파악하는데 유용하게 활용될 수 있을 것이다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study is aimed to establish the national goals and values of Early Childhood Education and Care (ECEC), and develop indicators for ECEC in accordance with those goals and values in order to make a comprehensive and systematic diagnosis of the current ECEC situation in Korea. For these purposes, in total, 110 indicators were developed in three domains: 6 for Basics, 58 for Early Childhood Education and Care Services, and 46 for Parenting and Child Welfare. The indicators are expected to provide a useful guide for policy-makers and experts to analyze the reality and quality of the current ECEC of Korea and make informed decisions.
