유아교육기관 홈페이지 활용에 대한 실태 조사 = Survey Results on the Use of Homepages in Early Childhood Education Centers

국문 초록 (Abstract)

1998년에 30개 정도이던 유아교육기관의 인터넷 홈페이지가 1999년 8월 현재 170개 정도로 급속히 늘어나고 있다. 각 유아교육기관의 인터넷 홈페이지가 마련됨으로써 각 기관에서는 제작된 하위 메뉴의 기능에 따라 기관의 홍보, 유아교육활동 안내, 유아교육기관과 학부모와의 통신 활용, 실시간 유아교육기관 현장 관찰, 유아교육 수업 자료 제공 등 다양한 서비스를 제공받을 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 인터넷 홈페이지의 활용에 대한 실태 조사를 기초로 유아교육기관간의 정보 교류가 활성화 될 수 있는 홈페이지 컨텐트 설계 전략의 방향을 제언하였다.

The number of homepages for early childhood education centers increased from 30 in 1998 to 170 in 1999. These homepages provide a variety of services such as introducing the center, giving location and bus line information, and summarizing the various programs offered, including weekly plans for educational activities, events, and children's activities. In addition, the home page serves as a means of communication between the centers and parents via bulletin boards, announcements, parents' columns and parent education columns. It is even possible to observe some education centers on-line and obtain access to educational materials and associated internet sites through information boards, and internet broadcasting centers. However, many homepages go unused simply because their educational centers' staffs are not familiar with good organizing strategies. This article outlines the considerations of good early childhood education homepages. Briefly, they are: Focus should be on teachers and children, not parents. Menus should be able to facilitate communication among centers. Information should be easy for parents to access and any educational materials should be available to the public at large, and the homepage should be easy for teachers to post information and materials.
