莫言 소설《紅高粱家族》연구

국문 초록 (Abstract)

莫言은 중국 현대 문단을 대표하는 작가로 특히 그의 작품은 尋根文學, 新歷史小說의 대표작으로 손꼽힌다. 莫言과 그의 작품들은 중국과 해외에서 크게 인기를 얻고 있으며 대표작들은 현재 많은 국가에서 번역 출판되고 있고 있다. 본 논문에서는 莫言의 《紅高粱家族》을 통하여 그의 창작 특징과 사회 배경을 살펴보고자 한다.
莫言은 山東省 高密東北鄉의 빈한한 농민가정 출신으로 20여 년간 고향에서 많은 역경과 고난을 겪으며 성장하였다. 이런 그의 성장 배경과 농촌에서 겪었던 개인적 체험은 훗날 그가 구현하는 '민중작가(作爲老百姓作家）정신'의 바탕을 이룬다. 이와 같은 현재 중국 현대 문단을 대표하게 된 莫言의 창작 특징을 본 논문의 2장에서 살펴본다.
3장에서는 《紅高粱家族》등장 인물의 세대별 분석을 통하여 그 민족적인 원동력이 인물을 통하여 발현되는 모습을 살펴보고 등장인물들을 통하여 시대의 특징을 개괄한다. 중국은 5000여 년의 유구한 역사 속에서 수많은 어려움을 극복하고 풍부한 문화유산을 간직한 채 현재까지도 그들의 민족과 역사는 이어지고 있다.《紅高粱家族》의 등장인물은 세대별로 중국의 봉건사회, 근대 사회, 현재의 모습을 모두 담고 있다. 본 논문에서는 중국을 이끈 원동력을 원시적이고 민족적인 생명의 힘으로 해석한다.
제 4장에서는 작가와 《紅高粱家族》을 尋根文學, 新寫實小說, 新歷史小 說의 관점에서 분석한다. 또한 莫言이 작품 창작을 시작하고 《紅高粱家族》의 화자인 '나'가 서술하는 시기인 1980년대를 기준으로 文化大革命 이후 변화한 중국의 모습을 살펴본다.
위와 같은 과정을 통하여 본 논문에서는 莫言과《紅高粱家族》이 현재와 미래에 갖는 가치를 밝히고자 한다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

As MoYen is the writer to represent the modern literary world of China, especially, his work is considered as the major work of Root-Finding Literature and Neo-Realism Novel. Moyen and his works have gained in popularity in China and over seas, and his master pieces are being published in many countries in their languages. This thesis will cover MoYen's styles and character of his writings, and the social background of them by going through 《The Family of Hong Gao Liang》.
MoYen was born to a poor farming family in Shandong Gaomidongbei-Xiang and grew up there in many hardships during about 20 years. His background and private experiences in farming village served as 'the sprite for a folks writer' that he embodied later. Thus, in Chapter 2 of this study, MoYen’s writing characteristics which currently represent the Chinese modern literary world are examined through his life and writing background.
It is examined in Chapter 3 how national driving force is revealed through characters of《The Family of Hong Gao Liang》, analyzing them by generation and the characteristics of each era are also recapped through them. China with a very rich history of 5000 years has overcome lots of difficulties and its history and people have continued up to now with preserving rich cultural heritages. 《The Family of Hong Gao Liang》 shows all characters of feudal-, modern-, and present societies of China by generation. In this study, the primitive and national power is interpreted as the driving force of China.
In Chapter 4, the writer and 《The Family of Hong Gao Liang》 are analyzed from perspectives of Root-Finding Literature, Neo-Realism Novel and New Historical Novel. The changed China after the Cultural Revolution is investigated as well, by standard of the 1980s when MoYen started writing works and the narrator “I” in 《the Family of Hong Gao Liang》 descript.
Through this process, I will find the value that MoYen and《the Family of Hong Gao Liang》 have now and future.
