Riding comfort and maneuverability are conflicting factors that a vehicle suspension should pursue simultaneously. Thus many control algorithms have been introduced to overcome this. confliction. In this paper we introduce an algorithm based on sliding mode control. This has the characteristics of fast tracking and abilities to handle. nonlinearities. unknown disturbances and system parameter variations. We have modified the sliding mode controller to consider the both motions of sprung and unsprung masses, and showed that the new controller has appropriate performance in time and frequency domain.<br/>
