칼빈주의 성경해석의 원리와 방법 = The Calvinistic Principle and Method of Biblical Interpretation

국문 초록 (Abstract)

칼빈주의 성경해석의 근본 원리는 “하나님 중심”이요 “성경 중심”이다. 이 원리에 기초하여 칼빈주의자들은 성경을 해석할 때”저자의 의도”를 중시한다. 저자의 배경과 역사적, 사회-문화적 정황에 관심을 기울인다. 물론 원 저자는 하나님이시만 성령의 조명, 감독하심을 통해 성경을 기록한 인간 저자의 의도에 초점을 맞춘다. 그러나 그와 동시에 성경 “텍스트”를 분석하는 데에 관심을 기울인다. 장르, 문맥, 문법, 단어 연구 등의 문학적 요소와 사회-문화적 요소, 그리고 신학적 요소를 통합적으로 분석한다. 더 나아가, “독자의 역할”에 관심을 기울인다. 다시 말해 독자의 배경, 정황, 능력 등을 잘 이해하고 참고하여 성경 본문의 원 의미를 보다 명확하고 바르게 깨닫도록 한다. 그리고 “간결”, “명료”하게 해석하여 독자들을 변화시킬 수 있도록 성령의 조명하심을 간구한다. 요약하여, 성경을 해석할 때, 저자의 의도, 텍스트, 독자의 상호 역동적인 관계를 성령의 조명하심을 통해 잘 연구 분석하고 성경 해석을 “간결-명료”하게 하므로, 독자들이 하나님이 마음과 뜻을 바로 깨닫고 그것을 실생활에 적용하므로, 치유 받고 변화되도록 해야 한다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The fundamental principle of Biblical interpretation of Calvinism is “God-centered” and “Bible-centered”. The Calvinists` view focuses on the author`s intent when they interpret the Bible. They are interested with the background of the author, historical, and social-cultural context. Although the original author is God, they focus on the intent of the human author illuminated and inspired by the Holy Spirit. At the same time they concentrate on the analysis of the text. Namely, they analyze the literary factors such as genre, context, grammar, and the study of etymology, the social-cultural factors, and the theological factors. Moreover, they focus on the role of the reader. In other words, a concerted effort is made to understand the reader`s background, context, and ability, so that they can interpret the original meaning of the text with better clarity. Eager prayer is offered up in hopes that the reader, by the illumination of the Holy Spirit is transformed by interpreting the Bible through “brevitas” and “facilitas”.
