Recently, personal lifestyles and tastes are being valued, and the trend has also been reflected in residential spaces. The “Alpha Room” is a space that reflects resident"s lifestyle and tastes. The demand for Alpha Room is expected to grow more in the future. This study aims to identify the Alpha Room’s use status and demand for Near Future(2030) reflected residents’ lifestyle. For this study, a survey of residents selected in ‘H Apartment’ in Uiwang, Gyeonggi Province, was conducted for about three weeks and a statistical analysis with a total of 108 effective answers. The results of this study were as follows : 1) The Alpha Room will become more important as a space that can reflect the lifestyle of the residents. 2) The options currently given in Alpha Room are based on storage, but there are many other demands that require more options in the near future. 3) Since the lifestyle of “personality-dependent” is in high demand for more active and individual spatial output, it is necessary to consider a wide range of “Beta(Double Alpha Room)” spaces in future apartment development.
