보조용언 '놓다'와 '두다'에 대한 대조 연구

국문 초록 (Abstract)

이 연구는 보조용언 '놓다'와 '두다'의 분포 양상을 정리하고 두 보조용언의 상 의미와 양태 의미를 검토하여 그들의 공통점과 차이점을 밝히는 것을 목적으로 한다.
이 글은 1장 서론을 포함하여 모두 5장으로 구성된다. 2장에서는 말뭉치 자료와 한국어 화자의 직관 테스트 자료를 통해 보조용언 '놓다'와 '두다'의 용언 결합 양상을 살펴본다. 또한 두 보조용언의 긍⦁부정적 문맥에서의 출현 양상과 주어의 유무정성에 따른 출현 양상을 분석한다. 이를 바탕으로 보조용언 '놓다'와 '두다'가 분포 양상 측면에서 어떤 공통점과 차이점이 있는지를 해명한다.
3장에서는 보조용언 '놓다'와 '두다'의 '완료상', '결과상태지속', '상황 변화'의 상 의미에 대해 검토한다. 먼저 '완료상'에 대해 검토할 때는 상황유형과의 결합 양상, 완성시간부사구와의 결합 양상, 후행절 부정 추론 및 함의 관계를 통해 분석한다. '결과상태지속' 의미에 대해 살펴볼 때는 과정시간부사구와의 결합 양상을 살펴보고, 후행절 부정추론 및 앞 행위가 다시 이루어지는지를 검토한다. 그 다음으로 상황변화의 상 의미를 검토할 때는 '행위자', '대상자', '장소'의 측면에서 상황변화가 어떻게 일어나는지를 분석한다. 마지막으로 보조용언 '놓다'와 '두다'의 '결과상태지속'의 시간과 '상황 변화'의 범위에서 나타나는 차이점을 밝힌다.
4장에서는 보조용언 '놓다'와 '두다'의 양태 의미에 대해 살펴본다. 먼저 보조용언 '놓다'와 '두다'의 '의도성'의 양태 의미에 대해 설문 조사 자료를 통해 검토한다. 그리고 두 보조용언의 '긍정적 판단'과 '부정적 판단'의 양태 의미를 고찰하고 '강조'의 양태 의미를 갖고 있는지를 설펴본다. 마지막으로 '의도성', '긍정적 판단' 및 '부정적 판단'의 양태 의미 면에서의 차이점을 정도성을 통해 규명하고 '강조'의 양태 의미 면에서 두 보조용언이 갖는 차이점을 고찰한다.
마지막 5장에서는 이글에서 논의한 내용을 종합 정리한다.
이상의 논의를 통해 보조용언 '놓다'와 '두다'의 분포 양상, 상 의미, 그리고 양태 의미를 살펴보고 두 보조용언 간의 공통점과 차이점을 고찰하고자 한다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study is to summarize the distribution patterns of the auxiliary verbs 'Nohda' and 'Duda', and examine the aspectual and Modal meaning of the auxiliary verbs to compare the similarities and differences.
In Chapter 2, I examine the aspect of combined predicates by using corpus data and result of Korean speaker intuition test. Then I analyze patterns of appearance of 'Nohda' and 'Duda' in positive and negative contexts. And I discuss the attachment restriction with animate subjects.
In Chapter 3, I examine the aspect of 'perfect aspect', 'resultative', and 'situation change' of the auxiliary verbs 'Nohda' and 'Duda'. First, I analyze the 'perfect aspect' by discussing the combination restrictions of the situation aspects, completion time adverbial phrase and so on. And I also analyze the meaning of 'perfect' by posterior negation reasoning. Secondly, I analyze the 'situation change' of 'actor', 'object' and 'place' in the sentence. Finally, I clarify the difference between 'Nohda' and 'Duda' on the aspect of 'resultative' and 'situation change'.
In Chapter 4, I discuss the modal meaning of 'Nohda' and 'Duda'. First, the 'intentionality' meaning of 'Nohda' and 'Duda' is analyzed by survey data. Secondly, I examine the modal meaning which is 'positive judgment' and 'negative judgment'. Then I discuss if they have the meaning of 'emphasis'. Finally, I discuss the different degrees among the modality of 'intentionality', 'positive judgment' and 'negative judgment' and observe the differences in degrees of emphasis among auxiliary verbs.
In the last chapter 5, I summarize the contents discussed in this paper.
Through the above discussion, I examine the distribution features, the aspectual and modal meaning of Korean auxiliary verbs "Nohda" and "Duda", and compare the two auxiliary verbs.
