This study is concerned about extracting the road noise component of signal from vehicle’s interior noise based on traditional system identification methods. Two system identification methods are considered: one method in the frequency domain and another in the time domain. In the case of road noise extraction method based on frequency domain system identification method, proper matrix inversion strategy is investigated and causal and noncausal impulse response filters are compared. Appropriate data lengths for the frequency domain system identification method and for the time domain system identification method are investigated.
