Used the red soils and Bentonite on the making a paddy field of the Sand dune soils, and following are discussed.
a) The flood beds of the river catchment basin can be turned into the paddy fields.
b) Reclaimed lands are useable at sevral years from now, but the paddy field of the sand dune soils are useable at this year.
c) By the next cause, farmers themselves can make up the paddy field. There are many materia 1s (sand, gravel, and water) in the sand dune soils. If they get cement they can make the I block (dikes around rice field) and the channel block.
d) The red soils and Bentonite are added in the sand dune soils to make the paddy field. Sand dune soils of seepage of water 3,000 mm/day or more are controlled to seepage of water 20-30 mm /day by the limit soil addition (addition of 6 cm depth of red soils and Bentonite 1,875 kg/10 a).
e) An opaque zone is thin so that puddling is difficult a little and as the membranous zone can not be broken, you must handle it with care.
f) The puddling is a most important work in order that the effect improvious should increse to an average of 67%.
g) Rice growing is fit to semi-sand culture.
h) Consider how to holdup the seepage of water of dikes around rice fields without vinyl.
i) The daily decreasing depth of water was very different from other common field and gradually the decreasing rate of water was increased.
