The present work was undertaken to obtain data for developing an ideal high school biology teacher's guides in Korea. The new and the former editions of the Korean high school biology teacher's guide were analyzed and compared each other and the results obtained are as follows: 1. The new and former teacher's guides comprise elements and detailed exposition. 2. The ermarkable difference of the new and the former guide is that evaluation is stressed in all the new editions. 3. Teaching objectives of the new edition are stressed on the aspect of scientific inquiry more than those of the former edition. 4. In the biology teacher's guide I of the new edition, the themes are stressed on $quot;genetic continuity$quot; and the level, $quot;individual$quot;. 5. As to connection of the biology texthook and the biology teacher's guides, it is well done in the new edition than in the former.
