      The purpose of this study is to learn about the effects of senior simulation on the knowledge, attitudes, nd perceptions of the elderly among the students of the department of physical therapy. The experimental group consisted of Fifty physical therapy students at a college. Prior to the experience, the survey was conducted with questionnaires investigating the knowledge, attitudes and perceptions of the elderly, and the change was analyzed to the same questionnaire as the pre-survey within at least three days after the experience was conducted. Fact on Age Quiz I (FAQI) was used partly to measure knowledge and attitudes toward the elderly and semantic differential scale was used to measure awareness of the elderly. Subjects who took lectures related to elderly people had a higher level of knowledge on the elderly, and those who lived with elderly people had a more postive perception toward them. The higher level of knowledge on the elderly, a more positive perception. The senior simulation program only allowed the subjects to experience physical discomfort of elderly people and did not allow them to experience cognitive problems of elderly people. In this study, I show that this reason could not significantly change perceptions of the subjects after the senior simulation. Therefore, increasing the quality and the number of lectures for the elderly may be helpful for enhancing physical therapy student's knowledge of the elderly.
