      다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

      As a native genetic resource, Hanwoo has overcome the unfavorable situation with Korean race from an agrarian society up to this day of proud high-tech industry.
      Dashing into the age of limitless competition on livestock products, we are suffering from the raise of feed price based on the raise of recent international grain price, FTA between Korea and America, and reopening of American beef import. The import of livestock products has increased and the world market has been simplified resulting in the aggravated difficulties of our farm family.
      The urgent problem at this time in Kyungbuk Hanwoo Industry is to strengthen the international competitiveness by cutting down the cost of production, and create high-quality brand meat with product differentiation and improvement to meet the consumer's expectation.
      Therefore, investigating the Hanwoo breeding realities and considering the problems at issue, I suggest the development Plan of Hanwoo industry in Kyungbuk area as follows,
      First, we need to enlarge the scale to produce high-quality Hanwoo meat.
      Second, we have to intensify the technique education on livestock farm family with the help of Kyungbuk Livestock Technology Institute.
      Third, we need to develop new feed resource using natural resources in the area to cut down the production cost, and build up a Feed Crops Cultivation Complex on a large scale making good use of environment-friendly Nature Circulation Agriculture.
      Fourth, we have to promote Kyungbuk Livestock Technology Institute as a Hanwoo breeding improvement base.
      Fifth, we need to come up with the promoting measure for the small-sized management system bearing various problems.
      Six, we have to do our best for the high quality of the product and the promotion of Brand Image.
      Seventh, we have to set up a Public-Relations strategy to make “Champum Hanwoo”, our own provincial brand, the best brand of beef.
      Eighth, we have to do our best for the different distribution of Kyungbuk Hanwoo, the increase in consumption of beef, and the promotion on value-added.
      Ninth, we have to do our best for the safe sanitary conditions by checking if the facilities, transportation process, and the display in retail store are completely equipped with the cold storage chain system.
