21세기 올림픽의 미래지향적 전환

This study is aimed at proposing future-oriented conversion of the 21st century Olympics and establishing new paradigm meeting global tide. In order to accomplish the purpose, this study examined the background to create modern Olympic Gamesand Olympic ideal oriented by Cuberdin, along with politics due to nationalism and economic factors due to commercialism, in the midst of the reasons why Olympic ideal faded away. As the result of it, future-oriented switchover directions of the 21st century Olympics are proposed as follows. First, 21st century Olympics need to realize serious「Partnership」of Olympics and economy, by connecting logics of corporate management and Olympic spirit. Especially, corporations are able to pursue respectable and continuable growth, based on four spirits (Hope, Dream & Inspiration, Friendship & Fair Play, and Joy in the Effort) Olympics` slogan implies. Besides, like as IOC is pursuing harmony between economy and amateurism, corporations have to pursue profit and social responsibility simultaneously. Implementing ethical management and being trustedby community are essential requirements for corporations to survive long time. Second, 21st century Olympics need to be a social movement to pursue cultivation of national consciousness through practice of sports spirit. Olympics are an apostle of peaceful construction, beyond simple sports games, and a field of harmony with eternal advance and eternal friendship, based on the fundamental sports spirits to do best, to be fair, and to respect. Therefore, sports spirit is deemed to be a real principle and ethical creed in life, as well as being practiced in the sports games. Third, 21st century Olympics need to get wide support and assistance from the community and social tolerance, in order to develop further and contribute to human society. Broad-minded sports world needs wider participation, equal chance to join and social support. Consequently, 21st century Olympics require realization of Olympic spirits based on tolerance and equality, in opposition to abuse of power, discrimination, unfairness, social illegality and bureaucratic control.
