첫 자녀를 둔 가구의 후속출산에 영향을 미치는 변인 탐색 = A study on the variables affecting additional childbirths of the families with one child

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study examined the variables influencing additional childbirths of the 177 families with second child and the families without the second one among the families with two-year-old first child. Data were collected by the Panel Study on Korean Children. As a result, the most important factors affecting additional childbirths of the families with the first child were whether a mother was employed or not and a father`s degree of satisfaction with his marriage in order. Result for this study indicates that not only sociocultural and economic characteristics of a family but also subjective and psychological features including the characteristics of parents and children must be complexly taken into consideration for policies in order to encourage more childbirths.
