화성학을 기반으로 한 색채 시스템 연구

국문 초록 (Abstract)

음악을 감상하는 데에는 전문적인 지식이 없어도 누구나 음악을 느낄 수 있지만,
음악을 온전히 이해하기 위해서는 전문적인 지식이 필요하다. 화성학적인 지식과
청음의 능력이 있어야만 음악에 대해 깊이 있는 감상을 할 수 있고, 더 나아가
의미 있는 작곡을 가능케 한다.
이러한 전문적인 지식을 얻기 위해서는 음악을 듣는 능력인 청음의 역할이 큰데,
청음의 교육 방법은 주로 쉽게 이해하기 힘든 추상적인 느낌(멀어진다, 가깝다,
흔들린다 등)으로 진행된다.
이를 해결하기 위해 1) 시각적인 요소인 색채를 화성학 성질에 대응하고, 2)
대응한 색채 값을 먼셀 색체계 시스템과 연결해 3) 화성학을 기반으로 한 새로운
색채 시스템을 고안하였다.
본 연구를 통해 시각적 요소인 색채를 활용하여 음에 관해 직관적으로 느낄 수
있게 하고, 더 나아가 본 색채 시스템을 기반으로 한 다양한 음악의 시각화에 큰
기반이 될 수 있을 것이다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Although anyone could feel music without expert knowledge in an appreciation
of music, it’s required to have such knowledge to understand music
in depth. It’s possible to appreciate music deeply only with theory of
harmony and listening skills, which lead us to meaningful composition.
Listening skills play major role in acquiring such expert knowledge and the
instructional method to teach such listening skills often go through with
abstract feelings which are difficult to understand easily, such as ‘Far
away, be close and shaken.’
This study suggested new color system which 1) matches color which is a
visual element with characteristics of harmony and 2) connects the
matched color value with Munsell Color System, 3) based on the science of
harmony.
It’s expected to see this study helps utilize colors which are visual
elements and feel sound intuitionally and furthermore, becomes a key
foundation to visualize a variety of music on the basis of color system.
