자기지식의 확장을 통한 윤리의식 제고 ―칼빈의 이중지식의 상호성의 원리를 중심으로 = Enhancement of Ethical Awareness through the Expansion of Self-Knowledge ―Based on Calvin’s principle of reciprocity of dual knowledge

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 논문은 한국교회 혹은 그리스도인들이 직면하고 있는 윤리의식의 회복에 대한 연구이다. 윤리의식 회복을 위한 연구와 시도가 지속적으로 이루어지고 있음에도 불구하고 여전히 어려움을 겪는 이유를 ‘의식수준’의 문제로 보았다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 일상에서 그리스도인들의 의식수준을 제고하기 위한 선행과제로서 하나님의 말씀을 이해하기 쉽게 조직화 해 놓은 산물인 교리 교육을 제안 한다. 이어지는 내용에서는 교리적 지식을 기반으로 일상생활에서 어떻게 윤리의식을 제고할 것인가에 대해서 ‘여러 도구들’을 사용해 볼 것을 제안한다. 이 도구들은 하나님의 창조세계안에 있는 일반계시적 원리들로서 심리학, 유학, 교육학 그리고 타종교 안에 존재하는 것들을 방법론적으로 살펴보는 것이다. 말씀을 근거로 이 도구들을 통해 개인의 내면을 살피는 과정을 거치는 것만으로도 삶에서 발생하는 여러 문제들을 극복할 수 있을 것으로 본다.
본 연구를 진행하며 칼빈이 기독교강요에서 언급한 하나님을 아는 지식과 나를 아는 지식의 상호성을 도구적 원리로서 차용한다. 교리교육을 통해 하나님을 아는 지식을 근간으로 하고 여러 도구들을 사용하여 개인의 내면을 살피는 것으로 나를 아는 지식을 확대한다. 이 두가지는 긴밀하게 연결되어 있고 서로를 보완한다는 측면에서 본 연구의 해석적 틀을 제공해 준다.
본 연구를 통해서 그리스도인 개인의 윤리의식이 제고되면 자연스럽게 교회공동체의 모습 또한 하나님을 사랑하고 이웃을 사랑하는 공동체의 모습으로 더욱 성숙될 것으로 기대하며 논문을 맺는다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This thesis is a study on the restoration of the ethical consciousness facing the Korean church or Christians. Although research and attempts to restore ethical consciousness are continuously being made, the reason why people are still experiencing difficulties is the problem of the ‘level of consciousness’. Therefore, this paper proposes catechesis, a product of organizing the Word of God in an easy-to-understand way, as a prerequisite for raising the level of consciousness of Christians in daily life. In the following section, it is suggested to use various tools on how to enhance ethical awareness in daily life based on doctrinal knowledge. I believe that we will be able to overcome various problems in life just by going through the process of examining an individual’s inner self based on the Word.
In conducting this study, the reciprocity between the knowledge to know God and the knowledge to know self mentioned in Calvin’s Institutes of the Christian religion is borrowed instrumentally. Through catechesis, the knowledge of God is the foundation, and the knowledge of self is expanded by examining the inner side of the individual. These two provide an interpretive framework for this study in that they are closely connected and complement each other.
Through this study, if the Christian individual’s sense of ethics is raised, the paper is concluded with the expectation that the church community will naturally become more mature as a community that loves God and loves its neighbors.
