박경리 <토지>에 나타난 “민족모성”과 비체 ―유인실의 “주체 되기”를 중심으로 = The Nation Motherhood and Abject of Park kyung-ni`s Toji: Focusing on the Subject of Yu In-sil

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This thesis is an attempt to examine the nation motherhood and abject of Park kyung-ni`s Toji(<토지>). The women`s stories in Toji have many women`s issues. And these issues are connected with the nation and border under colonial rule. Woman is not to be the subject nation in the paternalistic system under colonial rule, to be a rape metaphor through eroticized representation. And her name is called ``the nation motherhood`` by nationalists. But motherhood breaks down the world``s borders and can not separate from her child. It`s a dangerous nature to the nationalist who put a premium on pure blood. So she must abandon her motherhood. Then she is called ``the nation motherhood`` and it is the irony. Yu In-sil who loves japanese, surely abandons her motherhood for their child. A child of mixed blood has no choice but to be a love child. This way, the subject carry out a purge that disturbs order. This process is the ``abjection``. Through the abandonment of the motherhood, Yu In-sil succeed in her becoming ``subject``. Her story is the unique in other new women`s stories in Toji. Cho Chan-ha and Noriko adopted a love child Yu In-sil`s. The motherhood and her injury are reconstitute by the abject.
