교육환경 변화에 따른 교양교육과정의 운영사례 : D대 교양교육의 운영사례를 중심으로 = A Case Study on the Education Curriculum by Changing Educational Environment : Focusing on the Operation Cases of Education in D University

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 한국교양기초교육원에서 제시한 ‘대학 교양기초교육의 표준 모델’중에서 ‘교
양교육 정상화에 요구되는 제도적, 행정적 지원’내용과 D대학 운영사례의 부합성에 대해
제시한다. 2010년부터 2018년까지 ACE사업을 수행한 대학을 교양교육운영의 선진사례로
설정하여, 총 54개 대학 중 대형 대학 22개를 선정하여 D대학과 비교 분석한다. D대학을
중심으로 교육환경의 변화에 따른 대학 교양교육의 운영체계의 실태와 운영사례를 고찰한
후 대학 교육과정의 지향점에 부합하는 운영 개선방안을 제시한다.
D대학은 사회수요를 반영하여 교양교육과정을 개편하고, 교양교육원에서 교양대학으로
직제를 개편하는 등 교양기초교육의 강화를 위한 체계를 구축하였다. 교양교육의 질 관리
를 위해 교양교육전담 부설연구소를 신설하고, 교양교육과정의 주체성과 전문성 제고를 위
해 교양대 산하에 8개 학부를 편성하여 교양교육을 위한 교수진을 확보함으로써 교양 교육
과정 운영을 위한 체계를 갖추었다. 교양교육은 교양교육 전담기관의 주체성 확보와 교양
교육과정의 체계를 주기적으로 개선하고, 교육 수요를 반영하여 내용을 개선하며, 교양교
육의 질 관리를 위해 교육 방법을 개선할 수 있어야 한다. 또한, 교양교육은 교육과정의
토대로서 그 역할에 대한 재정립을 위해 교양교육의 전문성과 학술성을 제고할 수 있는
교양교육 분야의 차별화된 R&D가 필요하다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study presents the conformity of “institutional and administrative support required
for the normalization of liberal arts education among standard models of university basic
education” presented by the Korea Institute of Curriculum and Basic Education. The
universities that carried out ACE projects from 2010 to 2018 are set as advanced cases
of cultural education operation, and 22 large universities out of a total of 54 universities
are selected for comparative analysis with D universities. After examining the current state
of operation system of university liberal arts education and the cases of operation according
to changes in the educational environment, D University presents measures to improve its
operation in accordance with the university curriculum’s goals.
D University reorganized its liberal arts education curriculum to reflect social needs, and
established a system for strengthening basic liberal arts education by reorganizing its job
system from a liberal arts education center to a liberal arts college. To manage the quality
of liberal arts education, the government established a system for the operation of liberal
arts curriculum by securing faculty members for liberal arts education by organizing eight
departments under the liberal arts college to enhance the self-reliance and professionalism
of liberal arts education courses. Cultivation education should be able to periodically
improve the system of cultural education courses and secure the self-reliance of institutions
dedicated to cultural education, improve the contents by reflecting the demand for
education, and improve the teaching methods for quality control of cultural education. In
addition, liberal arts education needs differentiated R&D in the field of liberal arts education to enhance the professionalism and academicity of liberal arts education in order
to redefine its role as the basis for the curriculum.
