한국 근대문학 연구의 새 지평 ; 다문화주의와 문화다양성에서의 문화종 -한국문학의 이기적 유전자론- = Cultural Species in Multiculturalism and Cultural Diversity

I am wondering if we can analyze Korean Literature using the theory of evolution. Literature is, as is culture, both an organic and inorganic matter simultaneously. Specialists have researched and studied Korean Literature with an inorganic viewpoint. My question is that if we stand on the biological methodology, can we hypothesize Korean Literature as an organic system? My conclusions are, firstly, it is possible to set Korean Literature within the evolutionary idea, secondly, Korean Literature has its own organic system, thirdly, Korean Literature belongs to the Korean Cultural ecosystem, and fourthly, Korean Literature evolves with genetic traits. Korean Literature is a kind of species, as is Japanese Literature or Chinese Literature. In this Korean Cultural ecosystem, Korean Literature is one species and from that habitat, all kinds of Korean literary genres divide into several parts, for instance, the Korean novel, Korean poems, Korean drama and Korean animation. These can be classified as the families that are beneath the genus, if we adopt it into the evolutionism. It comprises an order as in nature. Korean Literature is a life force the same as flora and fauna are. On the other point, Korean Literature is equivalent to Korean philosophy, Korean history and Korean geography which have their own ecosystems. It is time to change our research methodology into the natural scientific imagination. Because Korean Literature is a species, it can send its gene to the next generation and has a self-reliant ability. Backed to the Dangun myth, Korean Literature has evolved constantly and has been sent to 21st century. Korean Literature has survived for more than two thousands years, because it has its own selfish gene like other life forms. We can refer to this as a meme, coined by Richard Dawkins. The Korean literary gene or meme is so selfish that it has strong traits to keep its inherited character. Korean literature`s selfishness is in accordance with the Korean`s life.
