『九雲夢』 原作 再論 = The Study of the Original Edition of Koounmong

국문 초록 (Abstract)

『九雲夢』 原作이 國文本이라는 斷定的命題는 문헌학적으로볼 때, 뚜렷한 典據가 없다. 오히려 현존하는 『구운몽』의 諸異本을 서지학적인 면에서 다루어 볼 때 『구운몽』의 원작이 국문본이라는 것은 전연 허황한 일이다.「乙巳本」이 『구운몽』 이본중 기록상 최고본이 될 뿐만 아니라,「을사본」의 母本이 된「老尊本」의 존재로 한문본과 서포와의 연대적 간격은 더욱 축소되며, 또한 이들이 그 후 이루어진 모든 국문본의 모본이 된 이상, 『구운몽』 원작은 한문본일 것이라는 거의 확정에 가까운 推見이 성립된다. 이와 같은 『구운몽』의 원작 한문본 推見說을 『구운몽』이 母夫人윤씨를 위해 저작되었다는 그 모티브와 또한『구운몽』이 지닌 중국소설 양식의 구조로써 더욱 밑받침이 되고 일층 굳어지는 것이다. 그러나 이와 같은 필자의 『구운몽』 원작이 한문본일 것이라는 조심성 있는 추견도 서포가 모부인 윤씨에게 중국소설이라고 바친 것이 『구운몽』이 한문본이었다는 서포문중소설보다는『구운몽』의 手稿本이 한문본이었다는 서포 10대 종손의 거짓없는 증언을 통하여, 『구운몽』 원작의 한문본 추견설에서 한 걸음 더 나아가 『구운몽』의 원작이야말로 통설대로 국문으로 저작된 것이 아니고 한문본이라는 단정을 내릴 수 있다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

There is no evidence from the philological study that the original edition of Koounmong(九雲夢) was written in Korean. The bibliographical study of the various editions of Koounmong asserts that theories, which state that Koounmong was originally written in Korean, are totally unfounded claims. The periodical gap between the Chinese edition and Seopo(西浦) is diminished by the following factors: Wylsabon(乙巳本) is the oldest known edition and Rojonbon(老尊本), which is the text of Wylsabon, remains legible. Also, these two editions form the text of all of the following Korean editions. It can be affirmed from these facts that the original text of Koounmong was inscribed in Chinese. Moreover, both the motive that Koounmong was written for Mrs. Yoon(尹夫人), the mother of Kim, Man Jung(金萬重), and the fact that Koounmong was based on the style of Chinese novels support the assertion that Koounmong was written in Chinese. The testimony, procalimed by the 10th descendent of Seopo, that the hand-writing edition of Koounmong was the Chinese edition reinforces the author``s assertion that Koounmong was written not in Korean but in Chinese.
