미가서의 최근 연구 동향과 전망 = Micah's Recent Study of the Trends and Outlook

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 논문은 미가서의 최근 연구 동향을 살피는데 있다. 미가서는 소 선지서의 한권으로 주전 8세기 고대 근동의 복잡한 세계사적 정황 속에서 선포된 하나님의 말씀이다. 미가서의 연구사를 살펴보면, 1860년대 이후부터 1970년대 초반까지 미가서 연구의 주된 이슈는 전승과 편집 그리고 자료의 진정성에 있었다. 그 근본 원인은 다른 선지서들과 마찬가지로 미가서 역시 심판 신탁과 구원의 선포가 넓게 분포되어 있기 때문이다. 텍스트의 구성과 관련하여 메이즈와 핵스트롬은 미기서 본문을 두 단락으로 나는다. 한편 윌리스, 루돌프, 알렌, 심언손과 왈키는 1-2장, 3-5장, 6-7장으로 구분하는 반면, 앤더슨과 프리드만은 1-3장, 4-5장, 6-7장으로 본문을 나누고 있다. 한편 80년대 이후 하나의 흐름으로써 맥케인, 슈타데, 볼프, 봐게나르는 편집 비평에 기초하여 미가서 구성의 키를 규명하려고 시도한다. 그러나 1990년대 이후, 역사 비평적 방법론으로는 한계가 있음을 인식하면서 메시지의 통일성(coherence)을 찾는 새로운 연구가 시도되었다. 한편에서는 1990년대 중반 이후 수사 비평적 관점에서 본문의 주제적이고, 문예적인 특성들을 살펴봄으로 예언적 스피치의 기능을 규명하려는 연구가 새롭게 시도되고 있다. 또 다른 한편 언어학적 분석 방법론에 기초하여 텍스트의 결속성을 찾는 연구가 핵스트롬과 제이콥스를 통해서 시도되었다. 미가서 본문 속에 반복적으로 나타나는 어휘나 주제들의 기능, 그리고 텍스트 전반에 영향을 미치는 불변사나 부사들의 사용, 그리고 중심 개념들의 논리적 연관성을 파악함으로 텍스트를 구성하는 개념들 간의 상호 연관성을 파악하려는 것이다. 이와 같은 본문 중심의 언어적 특성에 대한 연구와 담론 상에서 다양한 주제들 간의 상호 연관성에 대한 연구는 2000년대 이전에 풀지 못했던 텍스트의 구성의 난제와 화자의 의도에 대한 제문제들이 해결될 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study is a review of the recent study of the book of Micah in the Old Testament prophetic books. From the 1860s until the mid-1970s, the main issue of the study of Micah was the composition, dating and authorship. Stade and Ewald propose a hypothesis that Micah 4.1-5.14 and 6.1-7.6 was not based on the historical setting of eighth-century BC. Over the past century, however, many scholars represents the fact that the most difficult passages in the book of Micah was Micah 2:12, 13; 4: 1-5; 7:8-20. However, after the 1990s, some scholars (i.e. Shaw, Hagstrom, Jacobs, Waltke) have applied newly rhetorical criticism and discourse analysis of discerning textual meaning and coherence of the complicated passages. The result of the new approaches, which are based on the linguistic devices such as metaphor, discourse markers, lexical cohesion, and conceptual coherence show that the overall structure and textual meaning can be interpreted as a coherent unit.
