      There is a current trend in global performances, in the past directors focused on conversation and narration but, looking into the present stage, more and more performances take advantage of actors' body languages and other materials to develop chapters. Diversified expression techniques in modern drama, experimental directors who are open to take step forward make their efforts to create expanded language on stage, Their main subject is nothing but "human body."
      Oh Tea-suk ,one of the most influential figures and pioneers, is a hectic director has been taking experimental moves over 40 years. While he maintains Korean styles, also tapping into variously narrated stage less than conversation-oriented performance. He, writer as well as director, try to make audience participate in play through abbreviation and imagination. That leads to his own aesthetic drama still ongoing. So, Going through and studying his works help people at theater make sense of what directors are now on and fascinated. Mr. Oh's world achievement 《Romeo and Juliet》 will be hard evidence in analyzing his runaway success.
      His 《Romeo and Juliet》 has characteristics of him. Among them, maximized relaxation of body and slackened usual exercise easily catch people's eyes. The laxity gives a vitality into the play and plays key role in the drama. His body exercise and be summarized like that. First of all, suggesting of characters' minds apply each audience to feel various emotions. In addition, an objet d´art makes shift and dramatic stage. Sometimes it magnifies character's mental states by using time and places in reverse. Next, imaginary body expressions take dramatic effect on spectators mind and leave vivid images. Finally, by sublimating tragic drama into playing, the drama is in line between tension and slackness. That bring tragedy into more touching level. Likewise, his work 《Romeo and Juliet》 shows body expression spurs bountiful images, rapid progress and meaningful directing.
      Over concerns about modern plays role in line with fast-changing modern presents squeezed between western musical and visual medium and trends in body-performance, this study find the scene of body-expressed works and its aftershocks. The paper insist that scrutinized study of body impact in the performance should be the scholastic benchmark and pragmatic grounds for synthetic art of drama.
