      The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of swimming exercise on body weight, physiological change and GLUT4 and adiponectin in soleus muscle of mice fed oh high-fat diet. C57BL/6J mice were randomly divided into two groups: sedentary hight-fat diet group (S/HFD, n=7) and exercise hight-fat diet group (E/HFD, n=7). All mice were fed high-fat diet for 10wk and exercise training groups were subjected to swimming exercise for twice a day for weeks. Each time of swimming was 50 min. After 10 weeks, blood, fat, muscle and organ was collected and analyzed. Swim training reduces body weight and white adipose tissue weight, and improves circulating lipid and glucose levels. Two protein levels were markedly increased by swimming exercise. In conclusion, swimming exercise and high-fat diet for 10 weeks decreased weight, changed the blood glucose levels and increased GLUT4 and adiponectin expression.
