Thus, Goryeo Cheongja(celadon) was made in the areas of Gang-jin and Bu-an in JeollaBuk-do, Which was the center of Cheongja production, with the characteristic of government kiln. However, the function of government klin was paralyzed by domestic and foreign factors such as new gentry from local officers, the collapse of classes, and the invasion of Japanese pirates and Hong-Keon Jeok, and craftsmen in Gang-jin and Bu-an areas were thought to be scattered around the country to continue to work.
Buncheong(grayish blue powdered) porcelain was the creature of the era that represented one aspect of society and culture in the early part of the Joseon Dnasty. It was started with the Cheongja technique that was disappearing with the fall of the Goryeo Dynasty and developed into various techniques during the reign of King Sejong, and reached to the top in the reign of King Sejo, and then assimilated to white porcelain in the early 16th century and finally disappeared after the middle of the 16th century.
