This study compares international management curriculum between Korean and German universities. First of all on the basis of literature, it discusses theoretical background on the location of international management in the business administration. Based on the data collection through the internet Web sites, it analyses international management curriculum between Korean and German universities. Especially, it analyses international management curriculum in terms of general theory, specific theory, functional theory, seminars and internship programs, which related to international business.
The findings of this study are as follows: 1) There is little difference between international management curriculum in terms of general and functional theory. 2) According to results, which related to specific theory, there is difference between two countries. German universities offer more specific subjects than Korean universities. 3) In spite of difference of school system between two countries, it seems that German universities provide better seminars and internship programs than Korean universities.
This study can have a limitation with respect to comparability, which resulted from difference of school system between two countries, None the less. the results of this study can provide helpful implications to modify and develop international management curriculum for Korean universities.
