조현병 환자 사례 기반 역할극을 적용한 시뮬레이션 교육을 받은 간호대학생의 공감능력, 의사소통 자기효능감 및 문제해결과정의 관계 = Relationship between empathy ability, communication self-efficacy, and problem-solving process of nursing students who participated in simulation education applying role-play based on cases of schizophrenic patients

Objectives This descriptive study was conducted to verify the correlation between the empathy ability, communication self-efficacy, problem solving process of nursing students who received education applying role-play based on cases of schizophrenic patients. Methods Subjects were 93 fourth-year students who completed 4 credits of theory and 2 credits of practice in psychiatric nursing from the department of nursing at a university, and then participated in simulation education applying role-play based on cases of schizophrenic patients. Data were collected using a self-report questionnaire after the end of the education, and analyzed using the SPSS 21.0 program. Results The empathy ability and problem solving process of nursing students showed high level, the communication self-efficacy was moderate, and the problem solving process showed a positive correlation with the empathy ability (r=.57, p<.001) and communication self-efficacy (r=.35, p<.001) respectively. Conclusions Based on the results of this study, a further study is needed to verify the causal relationship between these variables in order to improve the competence of nursing students necessary in the process of solving problems of subjects with mental illness.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

목적 본 연구는 역할극을 적용한 조현병 환자 간호 시뮬레이션 교육을 받은 간호대학생의 공감능력, 의사소통 자기효능감 및 문제해결과정의 정도와 변수들 간의 상관관계를 확인하기 위한 서술적 조사연구이다. 방법 연구대상은 일 대학 간호학과에서 정신간호학 이론 4학점과 실습 2학점을 이수한 후 조현병 환자 사례 기반 역할극을 적용한 시뮬레이션 교육에 참여한 4학년 학생 93명이다. 자료는 교육 종료 후 자기보고식 설문지를 이용하여 수집하였으며, SPSS 21.0 program을 이용하여 분석하였다. 결과 간호학생의 공감능력과 문제해결과정 점수는 높은 수준, 의사소통 자기효능감은 보통 수준인 것으로 나타났으며, 공감능력은 사회에 기여하고자 입한 경우와 정신과 근무를 희망하는 경우, 의사소통 자기효능감은 정신과 근무를 희망하는 경우, 문제해결과정은 주위 사람들의 권유보다는 자신의 적성이나 흥미를 고려하여 또는 사회에 기여하고자 입학한 경우 및 전공에 만족하는 경우 점수가 높았다. 또한 문제해결과정은 공감능력(r=.57, p<.001) 및 의사소통 자기효능감(r=.35, p<.001)과 양의 상관관계를 보였으며, 공감능력과 의사소통 자기효능감 간에도 양의 상관관계(r=.27, p=.010)가 있었다. 결론 본 연구결과를 토대로 정신질환이 있는 대상자의 문제를 해결하는 과정에 필요한 간호대학생의 역량을 향상시키기 위해 이들 변인 간의 인과관계를 검증하는 추후 연구가 필요하다.
