Some field survey and experiment data were analyzed to understand the effects of soil physical properties on soybean growth and soil physical management methods were presented. Average soil bulk densities of soybean fields were 1.22 for surface layer and 1.36 for subsoils and plowing layer thickness was 11.5cm. Soybean growth were closely related to plowing layer, drainage class and bulk density of the soils. The main soil factors to control the soybean growth were shallow soil depth, steepnees and hardness. As increasing the soil bulk density from 1.27 to 1.46, the soybean yields were decreased to 33%. Chiseling, and trenching were the useful practices to improve the soil physical conditions and soybean growth. The effects of various organic resources on soil physical characteristics and soybean yields, the optimum ranges of soi1 physical properties, and the useful sail physical improvement methods were presented.
