전인목회와 건강도시: 하나님 나라의 관점 = Holistic Ministry and Healthy City: The Perspective of Kingdom of God

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study focuses on the concept, theological background of holistic ministry and on the strategies for biblically healthy cities as shalom communities. Korean Churches, especially evangelical churches do not proclaim and teach balanced gospel : the redemption of Jesus Christ and Kingdom of God like Paul(Acts 28: 30-31) because they have neglected the latter. So the leadership style of pastor that can realize the Kingdom of God specifically and relevantly is necessary. In this paper holistic ministry means a care and service of church members in order to become whole person as relational being for the kingdom of God based on the redemption of Jesus Christ. The characteristics of holistic ministry include concentration on Jesus and Kingdom of God, holistic salvation, worship with all whole being, holistic healing, holistic education, and love of neighbor with all heart, and holistic mission. Public theology and shalom community theology are theological background to build shalom community as biblically healthy cities. The strategies to build shalom communities include identification of differences and similarities between healthy cities and shalom communities, focusing on common grounds of both of them, sharing vision with pastors in city and networking, performing good samaritan project and Jericho project, and education of shalom maker for the kingdom of God.
