The objective of this study consists in inquiring into how competition - related anxieties affect judo matches, and then providing based on the basis of the analytical results of the present study the data needed for effective training as well as for the enhancement of athletic power in judo.
In order to analyse the aforementioned hypotheses, the present study took as demographic attributes some principal factors such as sexes, prize-winners, non-prize winners, and school career, on 194 male and female student subjects randomly sampled out from Y University, K University, H University, B High school, and K High School.
The resultant findings were revealed, as follows :
The results of having measured 27 variables out of three factors of cognitive anxieties, physical anxieties, and affective anxieties indicated that competition-related anxieties in all the three factors were found to influence athletic power. However, when viewed from a demographic characteristic perspective, the mean response to competition-related anxieties in all the three factors was identified not to have so power an effect upon athletic power by responding with 'a little bit'.
