The purpose of this study is to develop an information technology acceptance model and test it empirically using field survey. To achieve this purpose, various theoretical frames related to technology acceptance model have been extensively reviewed including the theory of reasoned action(TRA), the technology acceptance model(TAM), and the theory of planned behavior(TPB). Based on literature review, we proposed a technology acceptance model and tested it empirically using the field study. This model was designed to predict and explain the usage behavior of Internet. The data were analyzed with structural equation modeling with LISREL 8.12. The major results of this study are as follows: First, usefulness was influenced by experience, task equivocality, organizational support and ease of use. Second, experience and organizational support were determinants of ease of use. Third, experience, task interdependence and organizational support influenced subjective norm. Forth, self-efficacy was influenced by experience and organizational support. Fifth, use and ease of use had positive effects on present usage but subjective norm had negative effects. Finally, self-efficacy had not significant effect on usage.
