국내 로터리의 회전교차로 전환에 따른 안전성과 평가 = Safety Performance Evaluation according to Transferring from Rotary to Roundabout in Korea

국문 초록 (Abstract)

이 연구의 목적은 국내 로터리의 회전교차로 전환에 따른 안전성과를 평가하는데 있다. 이를 위해 이 연구에서는 국내에서 운영 중인 48개 로터리의 자료를 수집하였으며, 문제점 분석 및 개선방안을 제안하였다. 연구의 주요결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 현장조사 결과 국내 로터리는 기하구조 및 운영 측면에서 많은 개선이 필요한 것으로 분석되었다. 둘째, 통계적으로 유의한 3개의 포아송 모형이 개발되었다. 마지막으로 회전교차로 진환에 따른 사고예측 및 사고비용을 분석한 결과 대부분의 로터리에서 감소효과가 있는 것으로 분석되었다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The goal of this study is to evaluate the safety performance according to transferring from rotary to roundabout in Korea. In pursuing the above, this study gives particular attentions to collecting data of the existing 48 rotaries, and analyzing the problems, and suggesting the improvements. The main results are as follows. First, as a result of field survey, the domestic rotaries were analyzed to need many improvements of geometric structure for the effective operation. Second, 3 developed models were analyzed to be statistically significant. Finally, most rotaries were analyzed to be decreased the number of accident costs from transferring to roundabout.
