여성소방공무원의 근무여건에 대한 실증연구 = An Empirical Study on Working Conditions of Female Firefighters

국문 초록 (Abstract)

연구목적 : 아직까지 소방직은 여성이 진출하기 어려운 공무원 영역 중 하나이다. 그럼에도 불구하고, 소방직의 업무영역이 다변화하고 여성 진출이 촉진되어 가고 있는 현 시점에서 여성소방공무원의 근무여건과 정책은 불합리 하지 않은지 지속적으로 검토하고 개선할 필요가 있다. 연구방법 : 본 연구에서는 여성소방공무원들을 대상으로 근무여건에 대한 실증적으로 살펴봄으로써 향후 여성소방공무원들의 근무환경 개선에 기초자료를 제공하고자 수행되었다. 결론 : 첫째, 여성소방공무원을 위한 제도적 지원이 필요하다. 둘째, 여성에게만 지워진 고정적 성역할에 대한 극복이 필요하다. 여성소방공무원에게 효율적이고 효과적인 소방업무를 요구하기 위해서는 신체적 제한사항을 고려하는 것이 아니라 조직사회에서의 동등한 대우와 제도개선을 통한 평등한 조직문화를 구성함에 있다고 본다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Purpose : Fireighting is still one of public service areas that is tough for women to enter. Nevertheless, work domains of firefighting are diversifying and the entry of women in firefighting is being boosted. At this point of time, there is a need to see whether or not working conditions and policies for female firefighters are irrational, and improve. Methods : This study was, therefore, conducted to offer fundamental basic for improvement in working conditions of female firefighters in the future by examining working conditions of female firefighters empirically. The study findings are as follows. Conclusion : First, institutional support for female firefighters is needed. Second, there is a need to get over the fixed gender role, which is given to women only. In order for female firefighters to do firefighting works efficiently and effectively, it is considered that equal organizational culture should be formed by providing them with equal treatment and improving the system in the organizational society.
