This Study was designed to assess the degree of agreement of preschool children's emotional and behavioral problems. Three hundred and three preschoolers were rated in the tests to diagnose emotional and behavioral problems by parents and teachers. The correlation coefficients were calculated for the scales to compare the consistency between parents' and teachers' ratings.
The results of this were as follows:
1) Generally, there was little agreement between parents' and teachers' ratings of children's emotional and behavioral problems.
2) The agreement in externalizing problems was higher than that in internalizing problems.
3) Parents and teachers perceived similarly about boys' and girls' problems.
4) Parents and teachers perceived differently about problematic children's emotional and behavioral problems compared to normal children's problems.
