In modem society, as productivity is raised, labor time is decreased but leisure time is increased. so modem people are highly interested in using leisure time. These days koreans enjoy many leisure activities, It is called 'Well-Being', but these activities are often wasteful. we need to draw a lesson from Toegye's leisure activities. After he quitted government service, he returned to his native place. In that place, he founded a Dosan academy, and there he devoted himself to his studies and taught his disciples. While doing this, he enjoyed his leisure, he took a walk, did some hard thinking and composed poems. There are no difference between his leisure activities and his studying. It is certain that leisure activities relax the tension, It comes from education and studying, while It is succession of Mind Practice. He regarded that leisure activities and studying are inseparably related. It gives modem people, who separate leisure from labor, to give a lesson.
