대구대학교 특수교육대학원 현황 및 전공 신설에 대한 기초 연구 = The Study on Status and Establishment of Study Courses at the Graduate School for Special Education in Daegu University

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The graduate school for special education in Daegu University is established with seven study courses such as kindergarten, elementary, therapeutic special education and visual impaired hearing impaired, mental retraded, and physical disability before 10 years. However the recent school environment is changed rapidly. One of the phenomena is full inclusion education. Because of the full inclusion all children with disabilities want to study at regular classes. The purpose of this study was to suggest the status and establishment of study courses at the graduate school for special education in Daegu University. The questionnaire with 32 questions was developed for this study. Thirty questions were developed with 5-Likert scale and two questions were selected from examples. Twenty eight questions among thirty questions were utilized for this study. The reliability of the twenty eight questions was .91. Five hundred questionnaires were distributed for regular school teachers who are working in the five cities and provinces. Four hundred and fifty questionnaires were analyzed. The results of this study were that: (a) the number of the candidates to study at the graduate school for special education in Daegu University has been decreased until now from 10 years; (b) the teachers want to open the study courses for children with emotional and behavior disorder and learning disability. Therefore this study concluded that the graduate school for special education has to consider to open the study courses after calculation the break-even point with decreasing numbers of the candidates who are working for regular schools to study special education.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

대구대학교 특수교육대학원이 특수교사의 양성과 재교육을 실시한지 올해로 10년이 되었다. 본 연구의 목적은 특수교사의 전문성과 일반교사의 효율적인 통합교육 운영 등을 지원하기 위해 설립된 특수교육대학원의 현황과 미래지향적 발전을 위한 정원 조정 등을 구상하기 위함이다. 1998년부터 2007년까지의 특수교육대학원을 지원한 인원과 입학생 등의 현황을 분석하였다. 대구대학교 특수교육대학원에 지원하는 교사들의 인원은 줄어들고 있는 추세를 보이고 있다. 또한 부산, 대구, 울산, 경남, 경북에 근무하는 일반학교 교사 450명을 대상으로 대구대학교 특수교육대학원에 대한 인식, 대구대학교 특수교육대학원의 인식 관련 변인 간 관계, 특수교육 전공 요구 분석을 위하여 설문조사하였다. 대구대학교와 대구대학교 특수교육대학원의 위상에 대한 교사들의 인식은 긍정적이었다. 그리고 대구대학교 특수교육대학원에 진학을 희망하는 교사들의 변인은 교직경력이 적은 여교사를 중심으로 나타나고 있음을 알 수 있다. 또한 대구대학교 특수교육대학원에 진학을 희망할 경우에 선택할 전공은 초등특수교육, 정서ㆍ행동장애, 학습장애, 정신지체 등의 순으로 나타났다. 본 연구에서는 시대적 요청에 따라 새로 개설할 전공의 타당성에 대한 시사점 등을 또한 제시하였다.
