우리나라의 지역별 산업단지에 기반한 고용의 결정요인 분석

Employment has become a major concern in recent years with regard to the government’s policies to create jobs. Industrial complexes have been the main engine of the nation’s economic development and play a major role in creating jobs based on manufacturing. Under these circumstances, it is important to analyze the different factors that determine the employment of the industrial complexes. This study aims to analyze the association between the employment of industrial complexes with regional and industrial complex characteristics such as population characteristics, regional characteristics, and accessibility. First, we reviewed domestic and foreign studies related to determinants of employment in industrial complexes. Second, the industrial park’s employment factors were analyzed using the multiple regression analysis method in the local governments where industrial complexes are located across the country using the data from the industrial park. Third, policy implications were derived based on the analysis results. According to the analysis, the employment of industrial complexes was found to be positive relationship in terms of the number of large enterprises in industrial complexes, the number of transport-related manufacturers such as automobiles and ships, and the production amount. Accessibility and Seoul metropolitan areas were also analyzed as important factors.
