The purpose of this study is to arrange the concept of cognitive function, the principle of cognitive
function, the effect of exercise on the aged cognitive function and suggest the direction of the next
study about the exercise and cognitive function.
The establishment of theoretical background about the concept of cognitive function and the
relationship between exercise and cognitive function, and the arrangement of a standard through various
study are expected to help prevent, delay and treat the deterioration of cognitive function by aging.
Also, we can expect to develop the exercise program that can be helpful for the improvement of
cognitive function.
So far, the improvement of cerebrum blood stream through aerobics is found to be the most powerful
factor which is helpful for the cognitive function through exercise Therefore, it is believed to be the
most ideal meaning in studying the relationship between exercise and cognitive function to develop the
exercise program which is the most effective for cognitive function through follow-up research which
applied various intensity, exercise period and broad subjects of mixed exercise including aerobics
