Organizational stress is becoming an increasingly important concern, in both academic research and organizational practice.
There are at least two reasons for studying organizational stress. First, mismanaged organizational stress can produce the damage done to the organization's human resources dune to strain and distress, such as low productivity or poor quality workmanship. Second, when organizational stress is expertly managed, it can lead to improved performance, job satisfaction, and productivity.
Thus, researchers and management should focus their attention on the identification of potential stressors in organizations and develop strategies by which individuals can most effectively manage or reduce their stress.
In this survey, first, I have tried to clarify the confused notion of stress; Second I have attem ted to understand the sources of stress within the organization and the consequences of these stressors at the individual and organizational level; Finally, I have examined some possible strategies for effective management of stresss in organizations.
