The purpose of this study was to introduce and review the guidance tutor system in S-university. To accomplish this, a survey was conducted with 33 guidance tutors attending a tutoring program at S-University during the first and second semesters of 2013. Results show that, first, most of the guidance tutors chose study and training opportunities as their purpose of applying to the tutoring program(51.52%), followed by cultivating other human relationships(24.24%). This implies that they focused more on social capital than economic support. Second, 75.76% of the guidance tutors have already recognized the tutoring program. This recognition was higher than that for any other program in S-University. The main difficulties with the tutoring program were time management and an insincere attitude and lack of commitment of some tutors and tutees. In fact, guidance tutors who participated in the S-university program were more satisfied with their efforts compared to those who participated in other programs. Furthermore, 54.55% of the guidance tutors expressed a positive attitude toward reparticipating in the program. These results indicated that the guidance tutor system may improve the tutoring programs.
