The engine bearing, which is subjected to periodical dynamic loading, is an important component of the reciprocating internal combustion engine. The minimum oil film thickness is one of the significant parameter in the operation of bearing. The film pressures of bearing are not feeble, so the elastic deformation of tile bearing housing can have an effect on the bearing performance. In this study, hydrodynamic and structural numerical analysis is investigated. Reynolds equation including tile squeeze effect has been analyzed using the ADI method The equations of journal motion have been derived and then tile numerical integration of these equations are performed by 4^th order Runge-Kutta method Elastic deformation of tile bearing housing is calculated using the general finite element analysis package, ANSYS. It is sho주 that as tile result of tile elastic deformation of the bearing housing, the eccentricity ratio is increased and tile minimum value of the minimum oil film thickness are decreased. And there could be a considerable film thickness is preserved.<br/>
