        The Necessity of Business Intelligence as an Indispensable Factor in the Healthcare Sector

        Business intelligence (BI) is a process for turning data into insights that inform an organization's strategic and tactical decisions. BI aims to give decision-makers the information they need to make better decisions Patient safety analysis, illness surveillance, and fraud identification are just a few healthcare decision-making processes that can be supported by data mining. Thus, the purpose of the current research is to outline the need if BI as an essential factor in the healthcare sector by reviewing various scholarly materials and the findings. The present author conducted one of the most famous qualitative literature approach which has been called as PRISMA (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analysis) statement. The selecting criteria for eligible prior studies were estimated by whether studies are suitable for the current research, identifying they are peer-reviewed and issued by notable publishers between 2017 and 2022. According to the result based on the PRISMA analysis, BI plays a vital role in the healthcare sector and there are four business intelligence factors (Data, Analytic, Reporting, and Visualization) that will ensure that the healthcare sector provides the right healthcare services to the customers to be addressed in this section include; data, analytics, reporting, and visualization.

        Analysis of external environmental factors affecting patient transport time

        Emergency transport is directly related to the life of the patient, and rapid transport to the hospital is crucial. However, external environmental factors such as traffic or weather, interfere with hospital transport. In this study, we investigated the external environment affecting hospital transport time. We examined the transfer time and patient treatment time of emergency patients in an area of northern Gyeonggi-do from 2018 to 2020. Diagnosis after arrival at the hospital was used, and on-site treatment time was measured from paramedic arrival time at the scene to departure. Furthermore, we examined whether there was a correlation between the time paramedics left the scene and hospital arrival time through the reason for the delay as recorded in the emergency log. Traffic jams had the greatest impact on patient transport, while transport delays occurred due to heavy rain, but not snow. Among injured patients, electrical accidents were the most problematic in terms of on-site treatment time. This was because a lot of first aid is needed in electrical accidents. It must be necessary to mobilize two ambulances in an emergency through the expansion of infrastructure, prepare a plan for rapid transport in heavy rain, and implement strong laws against transport obstruction.

        Exploring Depression Research Trends Using BERTopic and LDA

        The purpose of this study is to explore which areas have been more interested in depression research in Korea through analysis of academic papers related to depression, and then to provide insights that can solve future depression problems. 1,032 papers searched with the keyword “depression” in scienceON were analyzed using Python 3.7 for word frequency analysis, word co-occurrence analysis, BERTopic, LDA, and OLS regression analysis. The results of word frequency and co-occurrence frequency analysis showed that related words were composed around words such as patient, disorder and symptom. As a result of topic modeling, a total of 13 topics including 'childhood depression' and 'eating anxiety' were derived. And it has been identified as a topic of interest that 'suicidal thoughts', 'treatment', 'occupational health', and 'health treatment program' were statistically significant topics, while 'child depression' and 'female treatment' were relatively less. As a result of the analysis of research trends, future research will not only study physiological and psychological factors but also social and environmental causes, as well as it was suggested that various collaborative studies of experts in academia were needed such as convergence and complex perspectives for depression relief and treatment.

        A Study on Selection Attributes of Dessert Cafes: Focusing on Literature Research

        This study aims to examine the relationship between customer satisfaction and revisit intention according to the selected attributes of dessert cafes in Korea. Additionally, we would like to provide useful data to maintain a continuous competitive advantage by comprehensively reviewing the effective operation of dessert cafes and strategic plans and methods to identify customer needs in the rapidly spreading competitive environment of the domestic dessert restaurant industry in Korea. A qualitative analysis method was applied through a literature review on satisfaction and revisit according to the selected attributes of dessert cafes, and data using theoretical backgrounds obtained through web searches and existing cases. As a result, dessert quality and convenience showed inconsistent results, and coffee quality was found to have a statistically significant positive (+) effect in various data. Moreover, various attributes such as service, image, price, diversity, and service had a significantly positive (+) effect, and satisfaction with dessert cafes also had a significantly positive (+) effect on revisit intention. In conclusion, dessert cafe managers should develop various desires that reflect consumers' tastes and are competitive so that customers can revisit dessert cafes, which requires more in-depth analysis by obtaining a more systematic sample group in the future.

        A Potent Medicinal Plant: Polygala Tenuifolia

        Polygala Tenuifolia, also described as Yuan Zhi, is a conventional botanic plant found in Korea and China. It’s most well-known promise is to improve cognition and guard against mental disorders, cure sputum, anxiety, and sleeplessness, and keep the central nervous system health. The pharmacological aspects of Polygala Tenuifolia's genesis and component compounds reveal the neuroprotective potential in connection to Alzheimer's disease. It contains three herbs: Bokshin, Sukchangpo, and Wongi. P. Tenuifolia's primary ingredients are Xanthone glycosides, Triterpenoid saponins, and Oligosaccharides. Polygalasaponins and Etrahydrocolumbamine are the major components, and they've been widely used for more than a century to relieve mood and psychological illnesses, particularly in North Asian countries such as Korea, China, Japan, and Taiwan. P. Tenuifolia extract eliminates allergic illnesses such as eczema and contact dermatitis by modulating Protein kinase-A and Mitogen-protein kinase-38. In vitro and in vivo studies linking P. tenuifolia root ingredients to a variety of pharmacological effects pertinent to AD show that this species' isolates may function through polyvalency. In great health, people can take up to 250-300 mg per day. It was given in peer-reviewed studies at dosages of 100-150 mg many times each day. There is minimal evidence that it improves verbal memory in experimental animals.

        ‘Iru’ Fermented with Latobacillus plantarum Significantly Reduced Cardiovascular Risks in Hypercholesterolaemic Rats

        Hypercholesterolaemia is one of the risk factors of coronary health in humans; hence this research was to investigate the effect of Parkia biglobosa seeds fermented with Lactobacillus plantarum on the cardiac risk factors of diet-induced hypercholesterolaemic Wistar rats. Hypercholesterolaemia in rats were experimentally induced and the hypercholesterolaemic Wistar rats were treated with iru samples. The total cholesterol, triglyceride, high density lipoprotein (HDL), low density lipoprotein (LDL), liver biomarkers and cardiac risks factors were determined after inducement and treatment with iru. Fourteen (14)-days after inducement, the rats in the group induced had the highest weight of 112.40 g while the control group had 94.30 g. The total cholesterol (TC) in the induced group was 100.80 mg/dl while the control had 51.40 mg/dl, triglyceride (TG) in the induced group was 111.75 mg/dl while the control group had 68.45 mg/dl. After 28 days of treatment, the group treated with fermented samples showed a reduction in the TC (100.80 to 56.99 mg/dl), Triglyceride (111.75 to 32.53 mg/dl), LDL (49.48 to 6.65 mg/dl), cardiac risk ratio (3.36 to 1.28), atherogenic coefficient (3.13-0.29) and atherogenic index (0.57 to 0.11). The result from this study reveals that fermented Parkia biglobosa sample reduced the cardiac risk of rats significantly.

        Pharmacological Viewpoint Concerns and Phytochemical Components of Ginseng

        Ginseng is described as the "King of all herbs, “Man-root” or “Root of heaven” and regarded as the most powerful herbal remedy, particularly grown in Korea, China, Japan, Vietnam, and North America. It has been in existence for a long time. The most demanded herbal cure, Ginseng, principally the root, has long been employed in traditional Asian medicine. The extent of availability of bioactive combinations and their impact on the body differs between American and Asian ginseng. Asian ginseng, also known as Panax ginseng, has a more calming influence and is more advantageous than American ginseng, such as Panax quinquefolius. The pharmaceutical aspect of development and extraction with diverse morphological properties is examined. Saponins, glycosides, carbohydrates, polyacetylenes, amino acids, vitamins, volatile oil, enzymes are all present in the Phyto-content of Ginseng. Ginsenosides are saponins that are constituents of the triterpenoid dammarane and have anticancer, anti-cardiovascular, anti-microbial, anti-obesity, anti-inflammatory, and antioxidant properties. Ginseng, in particular, has the possibility to help with microbial invasion, inflammatory processes, oxidative stress, and diabetes. It developed nanoparticles and nanocomposite film technologies as novel drug delivery platforms for cancer, inflammation, and neurological illnesses. Furthermore, it offers a range of applications that will be vital for future growth.

        A Study on the Development of Healthy Desserts Using Plums

        The health of modern people is threatened by bad eating habits. In order to provide healthy desserts to people, we conducted a study on adding plum concentrate, which is effective for fatigue recovery, insomnia, and prevention of constipation, to scones. In order to examine the utility of scones made by adding plum concentrate, the following experiment was conducted. It was prepared by adding 0g, 3g, 5g, and 7g of plum concentrate to the scone dough, respectively. As a result of the test, the sensory characteristic value was the highest in the experimental group to which 5 g of plum concentrate was added (4.77). There was a significant difference in that the average value tended to increase as the concentration of the plum concentrate increased. As for fragrance, the experimental group with the addition of 5 g of plum concentrate showed the highest sensory characteristic value of 3.62, but there was no significant difference. The experimental group to which 3 g of plum concentrate was added showed higher preference than the control group in most items such as color, flavor, sweetness, and overall preference. This study suggests that the production of scones with plum concentrate has a high potential for commercial use.
