      • An Extention to the Class of Improved Estimators in Continuous Multiparameter Exponential Family

        本 論文에서는 連續 多重 指數族에서 加重 제곱 損失 函數 下에서 自然 母數 벡터를 推定하는 問題를 생각하였다. 다음으로 이 問題에 適用하는 한 방법으로 微分 不等式의 一般解를 나타내고 Shinozaki[9]와 Ghosh와 Auer[5]의 結果들을 一般化 하였고, 마지막으로, 正規 分布와 감마 分布에서 一樣 最少 分散 不偏 推定量(UMVUE) 또는 그것의 旣知 常數곱의 推定量 보다 改良된 推定量들의 擴張된 類形을 나타내어 보였다.

      • Inter and Intramolecular Frisdel-Crafts alkylation of 5-(1,-1-dimethylheptyl)-resorcinols

        촉매로서 BF₃-etherate를 사용하여 5-(1,1-dimethylheptyl)-resorcinol의 알킬화 반응을 보고한다. 알킬제가 시클로알릴알콜일때, 이 반응은 알킬화 생성물의 합성법으로서 간편하고 빠른 방법을 나타낸다. 분자간과 분자내 화합물은 놓고 탁월한 수득률을 보인다. The alkylation of 5-(1,1-dimethylheptyl)-resorcinols using boron trifluoride etherate as a catalyst is reported. When the alkylating agent is a cyclic allylic alcohol, this reaction represents a simple and rapid method for the synthesis of alkylation products. Both inter and intramolecular compounds are observed to proceed in good to excellent yields.

      • Identification of the Fourth Member of the Mammalian Endoprotease Family Homologous to the Teast Kex2 Protease

        We used the polymerase chain reaction to identify a mouse testis cDNA that represented another member of a growing class of mammalian endoproteases involved in the processing of precursor proteins. This cDNA encoded a 655-residue protein, designated PC4, containing a bacterial subtilisin-like catalytic domain closely related to those of the recently characterized precursor-processing endoproteases, furin, PC1/PC3, PC2, and Kex2. Within this domain, the amino acid sequence of PC4 was 70, 58, 55, and 45% identical with those of mouse furin, mouse PC1/PC3, mouse PC2, and yeast Kex2, respectively. Northern blot analysis indicated that the PC4 mRNA was detectable only in the testes after the 20th day of postnatal development. Moreover, this message was mainly expressed in the round spermatids. These data suggest that PC4 represents a prime candidate for a precursor-processing endoprotease in the testicular germ cells and that its gene expression is regulated during spermatogenesis.

      • 光多變色 초파리 迷路集團의 性的 選擇利益에 관한 遺博的 行動

        光多變色 迷路集團裝置를 사용하여 4가지 色光에 대한 초파리의 性的 選擇利益에 따른 光鮮好性 差異의 形質을 分析하고자 實驗하였다. 光多變色 迷路集團裝置 속에 野生型 초파리와 突然變異型 黃色體-小翅 초파리를 各各 50쌍씩 즉, 암·수 各各 25%씩을 混入하여 그후 異型接合體 野生型 암컷의 交叉에 의해서 出現된 突然變異型 黃色體 초파리와 小翅 초파리를 同時에 觀察하였던 바, 各 色光 房 초파리 集團마다 差異는 있었으나 모든 경우에서 野生型 초파리의 選擇利益率이 增加하고 突然變異型 초파리의 選擇利益率은 減少하는 傾向이었다. 各 色光 房 野生型 초파리의 +遺傳子를 운반한 梁色體의 性的 選擇利益率은 25世代까지 全體 平均 頻度가 黃色光 房에서는 64.20%, 赤色光 房에서는 64.36%, 靑色光 房에서는 65.42 %, 暗色光 房에서는 61.74%로 나타났다. 이러한 實驗結果는 陽性 走光性 步行行動을 나타낸 靑色光 房 초파리 集團의 性的 選擇利益率(65.42%) 의 效率이 가장 강했음을 보여 주었고 반면에 陰城 走光性 步行行動을 나타낸 暗色光 房의 초파리 集團은 그 效率(61.74%) 이 比較的 약한 것으로 觀察되었다. 한편 野生型과 突然變異型 모든 초파리가 各 色光 房의 光鮮好性에 따른 步行行動에 의한 發生率은 各各 25%로 시작했던 實驗이 25世代까지 全體平均 發生率은 黃色光 房, 30.41%; 赤色光 房, 23.24%; 靑色光 房, 41.96%; 暗色光 房, 4.38%로 算定되었다. 이런 實驗結果를 中立値 頻度 25%로 分析하여 보면 黃色光 房과 靑色光 房의 초파리 發生率은 各各 5.41%와 16.96%의 陽性 遺傳率을 보였고 赤色光 房과 暗色光 房에서는 各各 -1.76% 와 -11.62%의 陰城 遺傳率로 觀察되었다. 이런 現象은 모든 초파리가 靑色光을 가장 鮮好하고 다음으로 黃色光, 赤色光, 暗色光 순으로 鮮好한다는 것을 보여준 것으로 思料된다. A study on the difference of photo-preference subjected to sexually selective advantage of Drosophila melanogaster in four light chambers was carried out. Each 25% of the wild type and the visible mutants(the yellow bodied-miniature winged) of male and female flies put into the photo-varicolored labyrinth population apparatus. The yellow bodied and the miniature winged mutants were observed by crossing over in the wild type heterozygous female flies. In all cases the seletive advantage of the wild type increased and that of the mutants decreased. The sexually selective advantages of +gene bearing chromosome of the wild type in each light chamber were observed as 64.20% in the yellow light chamber for the whole average frequency through initial to twenty-five generations, as 64.36% in the red light chamber, as 65.42% in the blue light chamber and as 61.74% in the dark light chamber respectively. These results showed that the efficiency of the sexually selective advantage(65.42%) of the blue chamber flies group was appeared high in the walking behavior of the positive phototaxis but to the contrary the flies group in the dark chamber showing negative phototaxis was observed as comparably weak(61.74%). On the other hand, the developmental ratio of all the wild type and the mutants by their walking behavior subjected to photo-preference of each chamber was computed to be of 30.41% in entire average through initial to twenty-five generations in the yellow chamber, 23.24% in the red chamber, 41.96% in the blue chamber, and 4.30% in the dark chamber respectively. As such results were analyzed by the neutral freuency(25%), the developmental ratio of files of the yellow and the blue chambers showed 5.41% and 16.96% respectively as positive realized heritability and in the red and the dark chamber it was observed as -1.76% and -11.62% respectively as negative realized heritability. All these results indicated that all the flies prefered the blue, yellow, red and dark light in order.

      • INFLUENCE OF Artemisia princeps VAR. orientaIis COMPONENTS ON CALLUS INDUCTION AND GROWTH

        An in vitro study was performed to determine the potential application of tissue culture in determining allelopathic potential of Artemisia princeps var. orientalis(wormwood). Aqueous extracts and volatile substances of A. princeps var. orientalis were tested to determine their effects on callus induction and growth of several tested species. Extracts of 5% A. princeps var. orientalis caused some reduction in concentration, induction, and growth of callus, although they looked normal, whereas the explants of most receptor plants did not develop callus at higher concentration. Lettuce and Eclipta prostrata were the most sensitive species, and A. princeps var. orientalis was affected by its own extracts. The growth of calluses in MS 121 medium treated with essential oil of A. princeps var. orientalis was inhibited, and the degree of inhibition was proportional to the concentration of the essential oil.

      • A Simple One-Step Synthesis of Alkylation Product from Cyclic Allylic Alcohol and Resorcinol

        The alkylation of resorcinol with cyclic allylic alcohol in non-aqueous acid medium gives intermolecular Friedel-Craft compounds. The products are primary alkylation products. The linkage always occurs between carbon 3 of cyclic allylic alcohol and the position 2, 4, 5 or 6 of the resorcinol.

      • N-Oxyldiethylenebenzothiazole-2-sulfenamide의-S-N= 결합에 대한 전기화학적 환원

        N-Oxyldiethylenebenzothiazole-2-sulfenamide(ODBS ; 가황촉진제)의 전기화학적 환원을 직류와 시차펄스 폴라로그래피 순환 전압전류법, 조절전위 전기량법으로 연구하였다. ODBS의 전극환원과정은 단일 환원파(-1.86 volts vs. Ag/0.1M AgNO₃ in AN)에서 비가역으로 3전자가 이동하는 E-C-E-C 반응메카니즘으로 진행되었다. 조절전위 전기분해 결과 sulfenamide(-S-N=) 결합이 끊어지고 mercaptobenzothiazole(MBT)과 benzothiazole disulfide(MBT dimer) 그리고 유리된 sulfur 등이 생성물로 얻어졌다. pH 변화에 따른 폴라로그램의 해석과 생성물 분석의 결과를 바탕으로하여 전기화학적 반응 메카니즘을 제안하였다. The electrochemical reduction of N-oxyldiethylenebenzothiazole-2-sulfenamide(ODBS; vulcanization accelerator) was investigated by direct current polarography, differential pulse polarography, cyclic voltammetry and controlled potential coulometry. The irreversible electrode reduction of ODBS proceeded E-C-E-C reaction mechanism by three electrons transfer with irreversible one wave(-1.86 volts vs. Ag/0.1M AgNO₃ in AN). As the results of controlled potential electrolysis, mercaptobenzothiazole(MBT), benzothiazole disulfide(MBT dimer) and extricated sulfur were products which followed by cleavage of the sulfenamide(-S-N=) bond. Upon the basis of products analysis and polarogram interpretation with pH variable, electrochemical reaction mechanism was suggested.

      • 1-Benzyl-4-Iodomethyl-2-Azetidinone의 합성과 lodo기에 대한 전기화학적 환원반응

        1-Benzyl-4-iodomethyl-2-azetidinone(BIMA)을 합성하여 iodomethyl기에 대한 전기화학적 환원을 direct current, differential pulse polarography, cyclic voltammetry 그리고 controlled potential coulometry 방법으로 연구하였다. BIMA의 환원과정은 1단계(-1.35 volts vs. Ag-AgCl)에서 완전비가역과 2전자이동 후에 양성자가 첨가되는 EEC 반응기구로 진행되었으며 1-benzyl-4-methyl-2-azetidinone이 생성되었다. 양이온 계면활성제(cetyltrimethylammonium bromide)의 농도가 진하여질수록 양전위 이동이 있었으나 음이온 계면활성제(soduim lauryl sulfate)의 경우에는 2단계로 세분화되는 현상이 나타났다. pH변화에 따른 전극환원과정과 생성물 분석의 결과를 바탕으로 전기화학적 반응기구를 제안하였다. 1-Benzyl-4-iodomethyl-2-azetidinone(BIMA) was synthesized and its electrochemical reduction was investigated by direct current, differential pulse polarography, cyclic voltammetry and controlled potential coulometry. The irreversible two electron transfer on reductive dehalogenation of iodo group proceeded to form 1-benzyl-4-methyl-2-azetidinone by EEC electrode reaction mechanism at the first reduction step(-1.35 volts vs. Ag-AgCl). The polarographic reduction waves separated into two reduction steps due to anionic surfactant(soduim lauryl sulfate) effects, while the waves were shifted to the positive potential as the concentration of cationic surfactant(cetyltrimethylammonium bromide) increased. Upon the basis of results on the product analysis and interpretation of polarogram with pH variable, EEC electrochemical reaction mechanism was suggested.
