영어 회화 프로그램에 대한 태도 연구 : 서원대학교 학생을 중심으로

The purpose of this study is to identify the attitudes of korean college students toward Americans, learning English conversation, interest in English conversation, English conversation textbooks, English conversation teachers, teaching methods of English conversation, fellow students' learning English conversation in class, their own learning English conversation in class, their learning styles and anxiety about learning English conversation. Based on the data the relationships between each of the ten attitudes were examined and the attitudes were compared according to the level of the classes. The results of this study showed that (1) the students showed highly favorable attitudes toward the Americans, learning English conversation, interest in English conversation, English conversation teachers, their own learning English conversation in class and their learning style, that (2) the attitudes of the three levels(beginning classes, intermediate classes, advanced classes) toward interest in English conversation, English conversation textbooks, English conversation teachers, fellow students' learning English conversation in class and anxiety about learning English conversation were significantly different ( p<.05) and that (3) the attitudes of the Americans were significantly correlated to English conversation teachers, learning English conversation to interest in English conversation, English conversation textbooks to fellow students' learning English conversation in class. English conversation teachers to fellow students' learning English conversation in class, teaching methods of English conversation to English conversation teachers, fellow students' learning English conversation in class to English conversation teachers, their learning styles to interest in English conversation and anxiety about learning English conversation to learning English conversation.

ABSTRACTThe purpose of this study is to examine the general properties of the existential there construction in English.The main findings of this study are as follows:First, there in the existential there construction functions as an NP and appears only in the subject position. But as far as agreement between werb and subject is concerned, there arises a problem, because in the existential there sentence, the verb and the subject there generally do not agree, but the verb and the NP after the verb agree.Second, it is difficult to derive a conclusion about the origin of the existential there, but it seems that before Old English, there was no distinction between existential there and locative there and that in the Old English period its function as a locative there and as an existential there was differentiated.Third, the kinds of verbs which appear with existential there are limited. The commonest verb which appears in the existential there sentence is the verb be, and the verbs arise, appear, arrive, remain, enter, etc. also sometimes appear.Fourth, in the existential there sentences only indefinite NPs are thought to be acceptable but there are counterexamples to this definiteness restriction. That is to say, in the list, reminder sentences, etc. the definite NPs with the definite articles can appear after the verb be, so that the definiteness restriction is not absolute.Fifth, it is generally thought that when there are two be's in the existential there sentences, the NP appears after the first be and that the existential there sentences which have be to, or be going to are exceptions. But even in the existential there sentences with be to or be going to the NPs sometimes appear after the first be.Sixth, it is generally asserted that the kinds of the extension after the NP are limited, that is to say, NPs, property giving adjectives and verb forms besides present and participles are unacceptable. But sometimes NPs, property giving adjectives, tense verbs, and infinitive verbs without to appear in the extension, and therefore it seems that there is no predicate restriction.

<ABSTRACT>Environmental ethics is not specific issue of ethics only, but general issue which other disciplines can deal with, In foreign countries, various scholors and decision-makers have participated in environmental problems-solving communally. But our country's circumstances are relatively in inactivity. So we must recognize the importance of environmental problems and attempt to solve it. The purpose of my article is to study types and development of environmental ethics approaches. Up to now, anthropocentric approach has been dominant. We need to turn from anthropocentric approach to non-anthropocentric approach. My paper will contribute to understand easily arguments in enviromental ethics and search toward direction of environmental ethics approach.
