The key points of this paper are followings. 1. The Buddhist theory of transmigration and the Chinese theory of Yin-Yang school are applied to linguistics. Language transmigates like man. It has five cases: Subjective, Verb, Adverb, Adjective and Objective cases. Five cases are making sentences. As a result, we have three kinds of sentences. Subjective + Verb Subjective + Verb + Adjective Subjective + Verb + Objective Each case has two case-marks: Yin (-) and Yang(+) 2. English and Korean are of the same origin. English 'Number' is a wrong rule of grammar. 'An' is Yang and 'the' is Yin. Zero-article is Yang and '-s' is Yin. 3. Possessive case is the sentence of the primitive time. 4. Function-words are articles, prepositions, copula verbs, auxiliaries, subordinate conjuctions, suffix and prefix. 5. These function-words are originated from coordinate conjunctions: so, and 6. We have two generations of conjuctions. First generation: so se as Second generation: and or that 'se' is now extinct. Followings are originated from these conjuctions. 1) so se as--->is, -s, as 2) or--->are, -ere 3) and--->an, am, on in, -en, en- 4) that--->the, do, to at, -ed, de-

In his work Mythologies, W.B.Yeats puts forward his most important views on what he thinks the standpoint of poets should be insisting that the anti-self found in heroes and saints can lead poets to the world of perfection. According to his idea, the other self, the anti-self or the antithetical self, comes to those who are no longer deceived, whose passion is reality. In his earlier poetry which shows a strong Romantic element Yeats tries to confess his very personal feelings rather than any serious conflicts which may be found in struggles on life or death. However, in his late works, we can see very dear distinguishing elements that are quite different from those early ones. Those dealing with fundamental problems of life and poetry are shown in almost every major poem especially after his late marriage, which gave him a new insight on life. Yeats is very concemed with important functional elements which can separate poets from commonplace daily activities, and those elements are very closely related to self-denial or strict control of self. In Leda and the Swan which deals with a Greek myth, Yeats shows us how difficult it is to overcome our basic instincts and to get knowledge that is essential for accomplishing the poets' life-long purposes. In his most important poems the anti-self theme is repeatedly and successfully described with imaginative language and situations.

In the first place, Dickens, in Great Expectations, appears to fulfill himself in establishing his locus as a visual novelist. Introducing opulent ocular metaphors into the text, he is very likely to explore the capabilities in gaining the Rousseauist ideal of transparent society. Pip as a seer is all the time prepared to catch everything which comes into his view, in order to criticize against the dark side of Victorian society, and envisage the improved ethical norm. In the next place, according to Foucault's explanation about Bentham's Panopticon model, 'seeing'(the gaze) functions as self-evidence, and takes 'power.' In relation to this view, it is apparent that once any unjustness has been caught by Pip's eyes, it immediately comes to be self-evident to event-alize itself before reader with its own power. Finally, Pip seems to succeed in gaining truth by means of verbalizing his inner thought. Lastly, the ultimate thing that the reader has to see in this text is how Dickens paves the way to discuss his own concept of justice or ethics through visualization. It is obvious that he is to a great extent absorbed in 'penology' owing to both popular intertainment related with literary tradition and his philosophical concerns about humanity. Actually Newgate metaphor is important in the light of the fact that it also refers to Victorian society. At last, in the phase of 'awakening,' Pip materializes(verbalizes) his inner thought that he bears in his mind while talking to Joe, and Estella; in order to visualize his thought, recalling to the reader Wittgenstein's words: 'don't think, look!'
